A Whole New Range of Screening, Washing and Recycling Plants from Powerscreen

Powerscreen develops and launchs more new machines.

Powerscreen continues to dominate the international market for dry screening, washing and recycling plant and equipment with the development and launch of yet another series of new machines. The highly successful Warrior programme gets two new additions with innovative user benefits, based on existing site-proven models. The washing range is enlarged with the arrival of two new Chieftain Rinsers. The burgeoning recycling and reclamation programme grows with the introduction of the new Phoenix Trommel to top off the range and the new Powershredder 2400 takes Powerscreen’s waste minimisation shredding equipment to new heights in large volume applications.

New Warrior Dry Screening Models

The Warrior 1400 modelhas a new option making it an even more flexible screening product.  Adjustments can be made on site in approximately 2 hours to refit the Warrior conveyors so that the mid size and oversize materials can be combined onto the oversize conveyor.  This is ideal when you want both the mid and oversize product to feed into a crusher.

The Powerscreen Warrior 1800 Radialhas a new radial feature option. The new radial fines conveyor is an enhanced version of the popular Warrior 1800, with the added benefit of increased stockpiling capacity with a 180 degree, swivelling fines conveyor.

The Warrior 1800 Radial is built for tough, high capacity tasks and is equally at home processing crushed stone, sand, gravel, topsoil, coal or construction, demolition and building waste.  One of the most versatile screening machines on the market today, the Warrior 1800 Radial has a highly aggressive screenbox which is able to operate with finger screens, woven mesh or punch plate on both top and bottom decks - the top deck can also operate with Bofor bar. Screen angle is hydraulically adjustable and the bottom deck options include “Z” meshes, square elongated meshes, speedharp, flexiharps and  Self Cleaning Balldeck Screen.

The machine is capable of screening, three-way splitting and stockpiling and, typically, can be set up ready for operation within 15-20 minutes of arrival on site. Output can be up to 500 tonnes per hour, depending on materials being processed and screen choice.

Both the Warrior 1400 and 1800 have horizontal feeders and the additional feature of a lift-up screen box to allow easy mesh change, collection belt change and cleaning bottom deck mesh in sticky applications.

New Chieftain Rinsers

The Chieftain 1400 Rinser has numerous innovative features for the efficient screening, washing and stockpiling of quarried or secondary aggregates and is equally at home in quarrying and recycling applications.

A patented 4-bearing screenbox, hydraulically folding and on-board side conveyors, hydraulic screen angle adjustment and a radio-controlled tipping grid makes this plant extremely productive and user friendly. Furthermore, its mobility means that relocation is fast and easy and infinitely variable conveyor belt speeds ensure optimum material feed and discharge with excellent stockpiling capacities.

Tracked and wheeled versions are available and optional extras include single or double deck vibrating grizzly, hydraulic screen tensioning, radio-controlled travel and two variations in hopper size. The wheeled version is also offered with diesel hydraulic or electric drive.

The Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser is also new to the Powerscreen Washing Range and is a track mounted, fully mobile washing screen, complete with on board side conveyors.

The Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser is a high capacity machine featuring a 20X5 (6m X 1.55m) triple deck screen unit for optimum efficiency in screening the “raw” materials. The machine has heavy-duty, low ground pressure crawler tracks and there is an optional tri-axle bogie system that allows the tracked version to be transported without the need for a low loader. The design and construction provides maximum access for easy maintenance and serviceability, whilst operational efficiency and mobility make the Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser a truly versatile screening unit for large-scale applications. In its new generation configuration, a further 1.6m has been added to the side conveyors, allowing for higher stockpiles and it can produce up to six end products.

Designed to work with the entire Powerscreen range of washing equipment both new Chieftain Rinsers can work independently or as part of an entire wash plant. By replacing the slurry catchbox with a standard tail conveyor the Chieftain 1400 and 2100 can easily convert to dry screening mode. Chieftain Rinsers are highly versatile units offering the flexibility of both rinsing and dry screening applications within one self contained mobile machine.

New Recycling Machines

The brand new tracked Powershredder 2400 is the largest in the Powershredder range and features a number of different tools and shaft configurations for the efficient and high volume reduction of household, Construction & Demolition, building and green waste, timber, plastics, forestry/sawmill waste and skip waste.

Operationally, the machine has low dust and noise emission levels, has a small “footprint” for its high throughput and the crawler undercarriage makes it highly mobile and agile on site. Automatic and fixed reverse shafts - with shredding tools that are welded on to provide low wear-and-tear, a long shredding life and low maintenance - produce optimum processing of the widest possible range of materials. A state of the art control panel allows the user to select five pre-set programs to suit different waste streams and also allow the user to select their own program to suit their application.  A generously proportioned low-loading feed-in tipping hopper (6.35m³ capacity) allows the shredder to be fed by conveyor, excavator with grab or loading shovel. The hydraulically folding 1400mm wide discharge conveyor, with chevron belting, has a discharge height of 4 metres for good stockpiling capacity, loading directly into tippers or direct feed into a secondary separating processor such as a trommel. The conveyor is also hydraulically angle adjustable between 15º and 34º.  The Powershredder 2400 is equipped with remote control for safe distance operation. Optional extras include hopper extensions and three different types of breaker bar can be installed below the shafts for further size reduction of waste materials. A hydraulically angle-adjustable overband magnet to remove metals is also optional.

The Phoenix 2100 is the latest recycling plant to be added to what is arguably the largest range of trommels available on the market today.  It is designed and built for high-volume processing of topsoil and wood chip, recycling and composting applications and is equipped with a 180ºswivelling, remote control, angle adjustable radial conveyor for significantly increasing stockpile volumes.

The new Phoenix 2100 has a 4 wheel friction drive system and reversible operation to rock the drum for easy blockage clearance. The 6.45mX 1.94m rotating screen drum has screen angle adjustment between 4º and 7º with variable speed control up to 24RPM; there is also hydraulically adjustable machine working angle.

Options include triple axle, remote control tipping grid, single or twin-deck vibrating grids and the trommel drum can be easily changed for punch-plate screens.
