Powerscreen Chieftain 2100 Rinser in MOSCOW

Powerscreen International is displaying its new combined mobile screening and rinsing product at this year’s CTT exhibition in Moscow. The Chieftain 2100 Rinser is designed for processing sand and gravel, granite and limestone, coal and coke, crushed materials, slag, inert waste  and virtually any bulk material that needs to be washed.

Powerscreen International is a global leader in design, manufacture and distribution of mobile screening, washing and recycling equipment.  Powerscreen International is a major full line producer of mobile units from market entry MKII machine to the triple deck Horizon 6203 units screening up to 800 tonnes per hour.

Powerscreen is a subsidiary of the $6billion global corporation, TEREX, and will be exhibiting on the TEREX stand - N-3/1.  In 2006 Powerscreen and TEREX opened their corporate office in Moscow to develop the dealer network throughout the Russian Federation, to support sales, installation, and after sales support.

The Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser

The Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser features a 20X5 (6m X 1.55m) triple deck screen unit for optimum efficiency in screening the “raw” materials and can produce up to six end products. The Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser is a versatile product as it can be easily converted to a Dry Screening product and operates as a stand alone product or as part of a crushing line.  It produces a high tonnage of finely sized material within strict specifications such as those required for asphalt aggregates.  The design and construction provides maximum access for easy maintenance and serviceability, whilst operational efficiency and mobility make the Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser a truly versatile screening unit for large-scale applications.

The Chieftain 2100 Rinser at Work

The Chieftain 2100 triple deck Rinser is being put to the test screening and washing crushed  granite in Poland.  The end products are for use as aggregate on applications as varied as ready-mixed concrete, asphalt manufacture, pre-cast concrete production, road-building and as rail track ballast.   In this case the material is shipped to Poland where a Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser screens and washes the material to bring it into precise and clean specification.

The Rinser is fed by a wheeled loader with the material entering the wash box from the main conveyor where it is water blasted prior to entering the screenbox. As it passes along the screen mesh, further water blasting by an array of 22 spray bars flushes away material that is smaller the screen mesh and this passes on to a Powerscreen Trident dewaterer where sand is recovered, dewatered, conveyed and stockpiled. The washed and screened granite aggregate is finally passed onto the on-board conveyors and stockpiled.

The Chieftain 2100 Triple Deck Rinser produces high quality screened and washed material.  On the application at the Polish site, silt and clay below 0.075mm is removed by the washing process.  Clean end products produced are 0.075 – 2mm sand, 2 – 8mm, 8 – 20mm and 20mm+ aggregate.  Average throughput is measured at around 160 – 180 tonnes per hour.  The materials are used for asphalt production and high specification concrete for load bearing structures, predominantly bridges.
